Die Insel ist besonders ber\u00fchmt f\u00fcr ihre beeindruckende Caldera und zudem bekannt f\u00fcr die zwei kleinen Inseln aus schwarzer Lava, die sich im Zentrum des Beckens von Santorin befinden. Geografisch gesehen geh\u00f6ren sie zu den j\u00fcngsten Inseln im \u00f6stlichen Mittelmeer. Vor allem Nea Kameni ist aufgrund ihrer heilenden hei\u00dfen Quellen ein bedeutender Anziehungspunkt f\u00fcr Besucher. Das gelbliche Wasser enth\u00e4lt eine gro\u00dfe Menge Schwefel und ist f\u00fcr seine therapeutischen Eigenschaften bekannt. Heute gilt Agios Nikolaos, die kleine Bucht auf der Insel Nea Kameni, als eine wahre Quelle des Wohlbefindens.
